Adult curriculum includes: bag work, movement skills, classic combinations, competition training, joint locks, take downs, and flips and throws. Moreover, what we teach to do...we teach to defend against. At Karate N Motion - the emphasis is on Motion.
Intermediate and advanced karate classes offer the Green to Black Belt a thorough examination of the skills required to attain the coveted Black Belt. Our goal is to push for excellence in our students. It's a tough job, but at Karate N Motion - we're just the Martial Arts School to do it. Students learn competiton sparring, choreographed movement, i.e. kata, self defense techniques, the principals of timing, distance, and balance as applied to karate, aikijujutsu, and traditional boxing. Although the roots of the American Goshi Shun karate taught at KnM are from the Japanese martial arts tradition, we don't limit ourselves to one particular style. Students learn the value and principals from many styles, including Japanese Karate & Aikido, Korean Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Capoiera, Tai Kick Boxing, Chinese Kung Fu, and American Boxing. The Karate N Motion Back Belt is a well rounded, well prepared individual. Our moto is: Good, Better, Best, Never let it rest; Till your good is better and you better is best!
