A 9th degree black belt in Goshi Shun Karate and Samauri Aikijutsu. During his 35 years of teaching he has been the trainer of four World Champion Black Belt competitors in the adult division, and three Junior National Champions.
He is a sought after speaker on Self Defense, Self Motivation, Finding Your Way Back After A Stroke, and "The Power of Deciding To Be Excellent.
Headquarted at Karate N Motion, in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood/Westfield
area for the past 20 years, "Sensei Alan" as he is known, has
taught literally hundreds of local youth and adults. His training employs
innovative approaches designed for children as young as four years old.
His Samauri Aikijutsu classes have enjoyed popularity at the professional
law enforcement level. This year Sensei Alan has launched a specially
designed Black Belt Masters curriculum for black belts - regardless of
