Bag Work |
|
| |
Bag Work classes involve specific training regimens, and often employ the use
of disco like music to establish timing patterns, and promote quantity of
repetitions. At Karate N Motion we dedicate specific classes to the study of
"contact skills" through kicks and punches on various contact targets, including
heavy bags; hand held sheilds, etc. Bag Work is important to build awareness
of impact capabilities, the affect on balance, issues related to distance,
angle of impact, etc. Work on the discipline of Bag Work helps the student to
develop "touch." It is actually also important in lessening the chance of
students hitting one another "too hard" or in a state of being "out of control."
Bag Work meets on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 a 1:15 hr. class. |
