We entered 15 competitors, and we took 18 awards!!!! WOWW! Everyone from Karate N Motion who attended and competed - brought home awards...either trophies or medals.

Congrats Team! You're Super! You're Fantastic! You Are Karate N Motion - at it's best!

Special recognition goes to first time winners - Lit'l Ben who earned honorable mention in Kata and took 3rd Place in Sparring....Way to go "Spazz Man" you got it done!!!!

Other first timers included: Clarissa - advanced yellow belt who WON her first ever tournament! She now enters the championship spotlight and joins her brother - Advanced Brown Belt "Stick" and Black Belt Dad - Colin. All are now former BKG Tournament Champions. Now there are three members in the family with First Place Wins!!!!

Not to be undone was "TIGER"! You all know her. She's one of the more popular and well known figures amoungst the young lady warriors of Karate N Motion. She won the Brown Belt division in her age group, and she did it with sparkling combinations, a fierce competitive spirit...and all the while she maintained the dignity, and loveliness that makes Tiger - well - Tiger! Congrats Kid! You Did Us Proud!!!

By the way...Tiger's Dad Tony finished 3rd in sparring on this day...but he too is a past BKG champion. Tiger was making sure, they kept it in the family!!!!! YESSSSS!

Credit also goes to blue belts Musa and William who earned 3ird and 4th place finishes in Sparring. Jr. Green Belt Jared finished 2nd in sparring, as did Green Belt Tony who finished 3ird, along with 2nd place finisher Big John in the senior men's under black belt division; Mountain Man Jared gets cudos for his 2nd place trophy in sparring; and honorable mention in sparring go to Tristan and Black Belt Danny. I expect there's going to be a lot more trophies to dust in the homes of KnM's Fighting Team.

In Kata Danny and Tristan both took 2nd, Black Belts Ibby and Mary the one we call "Priceless," both took 4th and little Spazz Man, did a Blocking Kata for honorable mention that made everybody smile!

In weapons we just ekked out a 4th to Ibby and an honorable mention to Tristan.

One last thought before the top honors are noted: Our senior ladies....Mary - Black Belt; Susan - Green Belt - and Denise White Belt were the only ones entered in their respective divisions. I guess the rest of the crowd must of heard we were coming!!!! Nevertheless, they each sparred each other and were awarded 1st Place in sparring representing their divisions. I've always contended that we at Karate N Motion have the best seniors - of anybody. Way to go ladies!!!

The Big News of the Day goes to our Sensei.....Ibby took 1st place in his age group in Black Belt Sparring. And Sensei Steve took the BKG Light Weight Black Belt Championship! [Check out his new bio]               Let me tell ya....!                              DEM FELLAS WAS COOKIN!!!!

I am most proud of the tradition of exellence that is maintained by our most advanced competitors. They are Good...and they proved it!
